Patrick joined the Asset Strategies team in December 2016 after working for three years at a CPA firm in his hometown of Bethesda, Maryland. He has experience with both individual and business tax return planning and preparation. He graduated from Salve Regina University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Aside from preparing tax returns Patrick also assists in administering SEC Surprise Exams and is a valuable part of our financial planning team.
Patrick prefers to be outdoors when he isn’t in the office. He enjoys hiking with his dog, Punkie, attending concerts and traveling. He also loves rooting for his hometown teams, the Washington Redskins, Capitals and Nationals. However, Patrick’s real passion is the beach. He spent his adolescent summers renting chairs and umbrellas to beach-goers! Much to the excitement of our office, Patrick got married in August 2020, in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Myrtle is a 10-year old Russian Tortoise who serves as a “comfort animal” to help AssetStrategies maintain a happy and stress-free environment. Myrtle also assists with internal security. Myrtle eats a hearty breakfast of Romaine lettuce, takes her morning “bath”, then walks around Alan’s office “free range”. She often ventures out of Alan’s office and can be found wandering around the building. She is the same color as the carpet, so we all know to “watch out for Myrtle”. Myrtle is probably the most loved (and spoiled) Russian Tortoise in the area.
